What a ride!!!!! Another storytelling masterpiece from the great Martin Scorcese. The crazy excess and unbelievable obnoxiousness, not to mention the fact that it is based on a true story, made this film three hours of fun and absolute incredulousness. My jaw dropped so many times, I laughed out loud so many times, the pacing was excellent – it never felt like a three-hour film, ever – and the acting, amazing.
I maintain that Leonardo diCaprio is the most underrated actor of his generation, while Jonah Hill continues to be a surprise (and the biggest fucktard of a guy in the film) – I am in awe of this story, and would like to meet Jordan Belfort at some point in time!
We all left the cinema dying to read the original memoir that Jordan Belfort wrote. And while so far, I’ve only read the first chapter, it seems that unlike many other novels-into-films scripts, this one stayed very true to the book!
