Six years ago (or seven, actually) I got my first long winter coat as a present from my then-non-boyfriend. It’s gorgeous, and still keeps me toasty warm in the depths of the Chinese winters, where being inside is actually colder than outside. I call it my blanket jacket, because it’s like wearing a blanket. Super comfortable, super warm.
Today, I got my second long winter coat, also a present. It’s charcoal grey cashmere with a silk lining and it’s a gorgeous, gorgeous cut. It’s times like these when I realise (again) how blessed I am, and how much my wardrobe needs to change in order for me to wear this coat without making it look bad. Eek. Oh well. It’ll happen… might take a few years, but it’ll happen.
