My current favourite crisps are Ruffles Cheddar & Sour Cream. My fingertips always turn orange, and they’ll smell of the cheesy powder for a little while. It stops the craving for Garrett Popcorn for a while… Yum yum. Haha.
In other news, it was Shrove Tuesday, and I made blueberry pancakes for the first time. Yay.
Went to buy stickable crystals today :) thank God for girlie friends who like to decorate their own iPhone cases, or else I’d have no clue where on earth I could get such things!! I love that I have a job that allows me to do things that I never would otherwise… So blessed haha!
Watched Whitney Houston’s funeral last night. Such a beautiful affair. Such beautiful words, such beautiful music. Seems like all black preachers can also sing!!!
Kevin Costner talked about some of the doubt that WH had, even in the height of her fame. I guess we all have demons like that, even the “greats”. I hope that she knew how loved she was.
RIP Whitney Houston. God bless your family.
Got up at 9:30am to go hiking. And then I got scared off. I really am such a weirdo… The most trivial things scare me off. Potential conversations. Whether I will be warm enough or, perhaps, too hot. The fact that I hadn’t had enough time to grab food before heading out.
So I blamed my unfinished freelance work, and sent a text to say I wouldn’t be able to join them after all. And then I changed back into my pyjamas, crawled back into bed and went back to sleep.
I’ve always wondered what it would be like to go to New Orleans and hang out in great music places and eat wonderful food… and I got a glimpse of that today courtesy of a friend who had some extra tickets to see Dr John perform with his backing band, The Lower 911, this evening.
It was amazing… and I could have danced all night to the rocking music. Kinda wish it were at a bar though – because the gig is part of the Hong Kong Arts Festival, it was held in the Concert Hall of the Cultural Theatre – which is strict to say the least. Hahaha. Oh well. It’s the music that counts, and the music was wonderful. Yay.
Super blessed to watch English rock band The Horrors at KITEC last night – twas good! Hope they enjoy Taipei tomorrow – it’s been a really long week of travelling and performing for them so hopefully they’ll find some r+r time soon.
Looking forward to Dr John tonight and Evanescence on Tuesday… Yay!
Spent the entire week in China listening to Delirious? and now I can’t get those tunes out of my head.
